How a commission unfolds.

Five stages, each one clear. You always know what has happened, what is next and what it costs.

I

Visit and brief

We visit, measure and listen. You tell us how the room is used and what you love about it, and we tell you honestly what timber and budget can do. This visit is free and carries no obligation.

II

Drawings and price

Within two weeks you receive scaled drawings, a timber sample and a fixed written price. We revise as often as you like, and nothing is made until you sign it off.

III

Timber selection

We choose boards from our seasoned stock, laying them out so the grain runs across doors, panels and tops the way a single tree would.

IV

Making

Everything is built and test-fitted in the workshop, from first cut to final sanding. Fitting is then quick, quiet and tidy.

V

Fitting and aftercare

The people who made it fit it. We finish by hand, clear every trace of dust, and return a month later to adjust anything that has settled.
